Tense Types In English


To talk in English many things are necessary to understand things like verb, tense, knowledge of sentence and many more, out of them tense is more important to understand tense first we should know verb and also pronoun.We will learn tense types in English with uses and examples.

 Pronoun: A word that is used instead of a noun is called a pronoun. The words I, you,we,he,she ,It and they are used in place of the nouns called pronouns.Personal pronouns stands for the three persons, 1st person, 2 person and  3 person.
First person who speaks.
Second person with whom we talk.
Third person about whom we talk.
Here are some pronouns.

Verb denotes an action  and tense shows us the time of action so in short tense means it tells about the action of person related to time.
So there are three types of tense.
1   Present Tense.
2.   Past Tense.
3.   Future Tense.
 
  1) Present Tense  (today):  A verb that refers to present time is called present tense. In this tense action may be completed or not completed so it can be used to talk about events actions or situations which occur or takes place in the present time.
   Eg:  I work daily,  We play football.
 
2)  Past Tense (yesterday) :  A verb that refers to past time is called past tense. In this tense action completed in the past  so it can be used to talk about events  action or situation which already happened in the past.
  Eg: The class started, The bell rang.
  
3) Future Tense (tomorrow) :  A verb that refers to future time is called future tense. It can be used to talk about events action or situations that has yet to take place. which will take place in future.
  Eg: I shall see you tomorrow, It will rain soon.
 
There are the main types of tense  these three tense are  again further sub- divided into four parts.

3.    Present perfect tense                          
4.    Present perfect continuous tense       
5.    Simple past tense                               
6.    Past continuous tense                        
7.    Past perfect tense

Conclusion: The tense of a verb shows the time (present, past, future) when the action happens, happened, or will happen.
