Past Perfect Continuous Tense
To denote an action that had been going on at, or before ,some point of time in the past.We will learn about past perfect continuous tense uses and examples.

Singular Plural In the past perfect continuous tense when the subject
I had been taking. We had been taking is singular or plural had been is used and ing form of
You had been taking. You had been taking the verb is added.
He had been taking. They had been taking
She had been taking.
It had been taking.
Rule-Subject+had been+Verb+ing+object
Eg: He had been living there for 10 years.
Uses of past perfect continuous tense
a) An action that began before a certain point in the past and continued up to that time.
Eg: 1) I had been teaching in this school for twenty years and then I left the school.
2)They had been working on the project since last year.
