Present Continuous Tense
The tense indicates an action going on at the time of speaking or action in progress at the moment of speaking. We will learn about present continuous tense uses and examples.

Singular Plural In the present continuous tense , when the subject is one person or
I am taking We are taking singular,then use first form of to be and add ing to the verb.
You are taking You are taking But, if subject is plural use form of to be and ing to the verb.
He is taking (form of to be-is/am/are).
She is taking They are taking
It is taking
Rule -Subject+am /is/are+ Verb+ing+Object
eg : I am writing letter.
Uses of Present Continuous Tense :-
a) An action taking place at the time of speaking.
1) Suraj is reading a book now. 2) We are enjoying our lunch.
b) Temporary action that may not be actually taking place at the time of speaking.
1) My daughter is studying English at Delhi University. 2) Asha is helping her mother in cooking.
c) To express ones immediate plan.
1)She is leaving for Delhi tomorrow. 2) We are going to the market at Market yard.

2.You are doing your work properly.
3.We are helping mother in the kitchen.
4.She is dancing on the stage.
5.They are playing cricket.
6.The maid are washing the clothes.
7.Children are playing hide-and-seek.
8.He is going to school.
