                                                 Present Perfect Continuous Tense
     The action which started in past and is still going on.We will learn about present perfect continuous tense uses and examples.It is formed with the auxiliary verb has/have + been + the+ing form of the given verb.

     Singular                               Plural                  In the present perfect continuous tense when the

 I  have been taking       We have been taking       subject is one person or singular have been is used,

You have been taking   You have been taking      and with verb ing is added but if subject is singular,

 He has been taking                                              he, she,it, has been is used and with verb ing is added.

 She has been taking       They have been taking 

  It has been taking

 

Rule:- Subject+have/ has been+ Verb+ing+Object
Eg : He has been studying hard recently.
 

Uses of present perfect continuous tense:
 

a) To denote an action which began sometime in the past and is still continuing.
Eg : 1) She has been waiting for you since Yesterday .    2) The boys have been studying  since morning.
 

b) To denote an action already finished or completed.
Eg:  1) I have been typing all day.    2) I have been running for sometime.

1.I have been reading this book for an hour.
2.The child has been missing since last week.
3.He has been working 15 hours a day recently.
4.She has been trying to put her baby to sleep for an hour.
5.Someone has been stealing my money.
6.I have been waiting for you since morning, why are you so late?
7.They have been playing since 3 O'clock.
8.Your son has been cutting school for the last two months.
9.We have been going to college.
10.You have been watering the plants since morning.
